School holidays seem a great opportunity to pull out fabric and experiment. Thanks to all the lovely people who made helpful suggestions about my becalmed Tula Pink project - enthused by your suggestions I pulled out any fabric that I thought could possibly work with my hexies and made an enormous mess on my
lounge design floor. I didn't have any 'perfect minty green with a white spot' (if you know of one, I'm all ears) or any purple on hand to try, but I haven't ruled them out. Here are today's contenders:
Architextures,
A blue/grey from my stash (I think its a Kona - more detective work required),
A cream on cream spot:
Luckily whatever I decide I still need to make lots more hexies so no urgent decisions need to be made!
I would go for the Architextures, with the cream on cream spot as second choice.
ReplyDeleteArchitextures gets my vote!
ReplyDeleteMy fave of these is the blue-grey, particularly if you added in the deep burgundy colour binding from the architextures example. M
ReplyDeleteArchitextures best so far, but I reckon keep looking for the perfect green (-:
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mel ^. It needs a strong colour and I like the blue grey! Go bold!
ReplyDeleteOh I like the architectures. And the spot. But don't let that get in the way of some more online shopping, in need. Or even if there's no need. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the blue grey too :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the blue-grey too. Makes the colours look clearer and brighter.
ReplyDeleteYep I vote Architextures too!
ReplyDeleteThe Architextures looks amazing, especially with the double border around that Tula print in the middle. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeletei'd go for the architextures or the kona solid. love the tula hexies! you need to bring them over to the epp party at splish splash stash. i'd love you to link them with "in hand"!
