The school holidays are ending...

The school holidays are drawing to a close. I ventured into school today just to break the ice, and stopped in to Patchwork Passion to collect the cushion I made for our Auckland Modern Quilt Guild challenge. The design I used was based on Elizabeth Hartman's Mod Mosaic.

I don't think this fits into the category of 'great photos' but I wanted to see how my stars looked when I put them together (It was night time but I couldn't wait.) In addition, it took me an embarassingly long time how to work out how the star pieces interlocked - being too lazy to turn my computer on, I had to do it as if it was a puzzle and I have never been that good at Tetris haha - this possibly does not bode well for my quilting future.

  1. Great Blog Megan - I look forward to following along and seeing what you do with the fabrics you choose. Robyn

  2. It took me a while to work out how the stars would all go together too. Then I started with a whole star and worked out from there.

Your Citrus HST Quilt below is beautiful. HST quilts are striking.

  3. I voted for your pillow! I loved the colours you chose. I haven't ever tried doing stars, looking forward to seeing yours at the next meeting?

  4. Thanks Jacqui - and I voted for your cushion (the cathedral window one, although I liked them both). The stars are driving me dotty ...so many pieces...
