I've been working on this little project for a while it seems. I want it to be a wall hanging for a friend, but I keep changing my mind about it - I don't know about you, but it seems harder to make decisions when you are trying to work out what someone else might like!
I finally have the blocks put together - now I just need to make a decision about a border. Dark or light - what do you think?
Love it Magan and for me it is definitely the dark border.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Lovely colours. No idea re the border - they both look good. The dark holds it together more.
ReplyDeleteIt's great and I think it really really pops on the dark border.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely dark...the colours just pop way more. Great blend of colours.
ReplyDeleteI would go for the dark too. It makes all the colours more intense. Lucky friend!
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on the look you want to achieve, but I prefer the light one. The dark one makes a frame, and yes it does make the colours pop. But the light one on a white wall would really make the blocks stand out.
ReplyDeleteOkay I sat here for a bit scrolling up and down - light or dark? dark or light? I think my final decision is dark.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely though! I'm with you - definitely harder when you're making it for someone specific and you want it to match their tastes!
Hmmmm I do like both, but the lighter one softens it somehow. Either way it will be loved.
ReplyDeleteI think dark too! Love this.
ReplyDeletedark border for me....maks the colours pop. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the dark one too.
ReplyDeleteLove this and think the dark border :)
ReplyDeleteThe dark one is more dramatic, I'd go with that one.
ReplyDeleteLove this, Megan! Either border will work!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Megan! Personally I love the dark background
ReplyDeleteNo border at all....just the binding! It doesn't need anything else. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the dark! Great quilt, by the way. Your friend will love it and won't have to fret with all these choices!
ReplyDeleteblessings!
I'm leaning towards the dark - it looks more amish, in a quirky paying homage to tradition way.
ReplyDeletePersonally ... I think no boarder ... but that's just me ... I LOVE it!!!
