Wednesday already!

I managed to get my Mendocino mini finished in time to take to our Monday Modern quilters meeting at the Little Craft Store. This month seemed very productive for some, you can see some pics here.

Just for Shelly, I have diligently sewn on one of my little labels. Monday ladies - following Karyn's lead, I purchased my labels here if you are interested.

I have had stern words with myself about my WIP situation. I am absolutely not and I mean NOT allowed to start anything new (not even Jacqui's bee block which I am very excited about) until all my retro flowers are done. I still have a few to go. So there is still plenty of this kind of thing to be done.

Smaller projects

This week I decided to work on a couple of smaller projects with the aim of actually finishing some of them. I have that common quilty problem of too many half done things piling up around me. This baby quilt top (40" square approx) just needed its border on. Tick. I have the back all ready to go and the binding cut, so I just need to apply myself to the task of quilting.

I also have had a little pile of Mendocino begging me for ages to make it into a mini. I love the whimsy of this fabric and the rich unusual colours. It is a bit of a work in progress as I have a limited amount of fabric and I don't want to waste a single scrap!
